Caparros apologises to Betis fans

Sevilla boss Joaquin Caparros has apologised to Real Betis fans after the derby between the clubs at the weekend.

The 62-year-old was involved in altercation with rival fans following the 2-2 draw and was seen making an alleged gesture whilst boarding the team bus after the game.

However, Caparros has taken to social media to ask for forgiveness.

“I want to apologise to the fans of Real Betis, to whom I made an ugly and unfortunate gesture as well as comments.

“The rivalry in Sevilla is known for its closeness but must never reach those extremes and I was wrong.

“Congratulations on a great season,” he tweeted.
