Eibar Coach Jose Luis Mendilibar will stay at the club for a further season after committing his short-term future to the Basque club.
The Basque took charge of Los Armeros in 2015 after they were spared relegation by the courts and has gone on to establish them in La Liga.
However, his contract was due to expire at the end of the season and reports in the Spanish press predicted the 57-year-old would depart the Ipurua Municipal Stadium.
Despite such doubts and reports linking him with a summer move to Real Sociedad, Eibar media confirmed Mendilibar would be staying at the club for a minimum of one further campaign with a press conference called for Thursday.
