Atletico Madrid midfielder Thomas Partey has extended his contract at the club until June 2023, it has been officially confirmed.
The 24-year-old has grown into an increasingly important role at the club, making 24 appearances in the top flight this season, scoring three goals.
“I’m very happy to renew with the club of my life,” Thomas told Atleti’s official media.
The Ghanaian international came through the youth ranks at Los Rojiblancos and enjoyed loan stints at Real Mallorca and Almeria before integration into Diego Simeone’s first-team squad in 2015.
Thomas has made a total of 82 first-team appearances for Atletico.
