Borussia Dortmund look set to sign Chelsea striker Michy Batshuayi on a loan deal for the remainder of the season, say reports.
Bild – a reputable German media outlet – report the Belgian international will join the Bundesliga club to replace Arsenal-bound Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
Dortmund are reported to have wanted Arsenal striker Oliver Giroud as part of the deal which would see the Gabonese striker join the North London club.
However, Giroud is said to have opted to stay in London as Aubameyang’s transfer edges closer with the 23-year-old Chelsea striker set to be his replacement.
Batshuayi netted twice in Sunday’s 3-0 victory at home to Newcastle United in the FA Cup on Sunday, but has been linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge this month.
The striker had been heavily linked with a move to Sevilla in this transfer window.
