Preview: Girona-Las Palmas

Marc Muniesa is set to make his first Girona appearance in over a month when the Catalans take on basement boys Las Palmas this Saturday.

Girona boss Pablo Machin on the uncertainty of the transfer window: “The safest place is our dressing room.

“We have some great players who, for certain reasons, haven't been able to show their quality. My job as their Coach is to get the best out of all of them.

“Las Palmas? If we dominate the middle of the park, we can dominate the game and create chances.”

Las Palmas boss Paco Jemez on dropping Loic Remy and Oussama Tannane: “I don't have to explain anything to anyone, except the President, who is my boss.

“The last Las Palmas team had Remy and Tannane. Here, no-one's indispensable. I made a decision based on football but also discipline, and I'm very happy with the decision I've made.

“Girona? We're going to change a few things. What we've done up until now hasn't paid off.

“Seeing how the team like to play and how I like to play, we're going to be much more attack-minded and create more chances.”
