James Rodriguez claims Cristiano Ronaldo was wrong to say Real Madrid were missing the Bayern Munich loanee’s experience.
Ronaldo was on record as making the comment after Madrid’s 3-1 defeat to Tottenham Hotspur last month, but James felt the No 7 was ill-advised as he also revealed the pair had stopped talking after his move to Bayern.
“They were going through a bad patch and words were said that shouldn’t have been,” the Colombian told El Caracol.
“I think Real Madrid have very good players in order to have a good season. They’ll get out of this situation because they’re a big team, they have the squad that can change all this.
“I left behind very good teammates and friends in Madrid and I watch their matches whenever I can. I still keep in touch with Ramos, Benzema and Marcelo.
“Back to Madrid? I don’t know. For now, I’m thinking about Bayern Munich. I’m on loan for two years here, I’m having a good spell and I’m happy.”
