Preview: Getafe-Eibar

Gaku Shibasaki and Takashi Inui could face off in La Liga’s first-ever Japanese clash when Getafe and Eibar lock horns on Saturday.

Getafe boss Jose Bordalas on his side’s opponents and beating Valencia: “Everyone knows how Eibar play, their Coach has managed them for a long time and is doing a great job.

“We know it’s going to be difficult. They’re in high spirits after three consecutive victories.

“They had an inconsistent start to the season, but now they’re confident and they have got their feeling back.

“It’ll be very difficult, we must be at a great level. Leagues are won and lost at home.

“Valencia? It can’t throw us off track. There’s been too much talk about our previous match.”

Eibar boss Jose Luis Mendilibar on a ‘tough’ Geta, Dani Garcia and Fabian Orellana: “Referees are there to blow for fouls and draw cards. They play within the rules.

“It’s true that they’re a tough team, but I don’t think they’re more so than others.

“They know how to tackle and that’s football too. Dani Garcia to Athletic? What matters to me is what happens between now and the end of the season.

“I’m not looking beyond this campaign because I also only have one year left on my contract.

“Orellana? I see him in a good way. He plays between the lines, can conduct play, only needs two touches… It shows what type of team he’s come from.”
