Preview: Eibar-Levante

Struggling Eibar welcome Levante to Ipurua on Sunday, with both sides winless in La Liga since September.

Eibar boss Jose Luis Mendilibar on whether the match is a Final: “It’s not a Final, but it’s an important game.

“We’ve gone a few games without a win, so a win would be important for us in terms of gaining confidence.

“On paper, they’re a team in our mini-League and if we win, we’ll move to within a point of them.

“I think we’re slowly getting better and we’ve prepared for a good performance.”

Levante boss Juan Muniz on his side’s progress so far: “We’ll try to play in the best way possible in order to pick up as many points as possible.

“We’re not worried about the path we’re on, we know where we want to go, how we want to get there and that we have to pass through all the villages along the way.

“Eibar no longer dedicate themselves to being just a team that are hard to beat. They’re an established team in this League.

“We’ll try to compete and have a serious game, independent of our opponents, the matchday and table.”
