The pressure is on Athletic Bilbao boss Jose Angel Ziganda when his misfiring Leones travel to high-flying Leganes in La Liga on Sunday.
Leganes boss Asier Garitano on bookmakers backing his side over Athletic: “I think it’s a load of rubbish.
“We’ll lose many games and go months without winning. I’m prepared for the bad times, so we must keep our balance.
“We can’t drop our level because there will be bad runs [of results]. There are no easy matches, Athletic less so.
“I see them in a pretty good way. The Basques are like this, they’re bringing through players from their youth team and their level of competition is high.”
Athletic boss Jose Angel Ziganda on fans’ discontent: “We know the rules of football. It’s all based on extremes.
“When you win and play well, like we did against Sevilla, it’s all wonderful, but when you do things badly, like we did on Thursday, you have to clench your fists and get your groove on.
“What we can’t do is lower our spirits.”
