Members of Barcelona’s 'Animation Stand' have vowed to protest 'peacefully' on the pitch at Camp Nou if Sunday’s game against Las Palmas goes ahead.
“Given the outrageous repression suffered by the Catalan people, we ask FC Barcelona to postpone the game,” read a statement on the group's official Facebook page.
“In case they don’t do it, we will. [Barca must] not play today. That’s why we ask all Barca fans to go to Camp Nou, jump on to the pitch in the first minute and sit peacefully in protest of the violence that we’re suffering.
“The world needs to see it. After that, we’ll go back to defending the polling stations and democracy.”
However, no fans will be in the stadium after it was confirmed that the match would be played behind closed doors.
