Line-ups: Alaves-Madrid

Real Madrid are without six for this afternoon's La Liga must-win at Alaves, but Gareth Bale drops to the substitutes' bench.

Toni Kroos, Mateo Kovacic, Marcelo, Theo Hernandez, Karim Benzema and Jesus Vallejo are all sidelined through injury.

Consequently, Nacho Fernandez, Lucas Vazquez and Marco Asensio come into the starting XI, as well as Dani Ceballos for his full debut.

Zinedine Zidane has also switched back to Madrid's tried-and-tested 4-3-3 formation, which leaves Bale without a place.

For Alaves, meanwhile, this match has come too soon for new boss Gianni De Blasi, with first-team coach Javier Cabello still in caretaker charge.

The Basques also have to win in order to stop the rot as they have yet to score a goal or pick up a point after five games.

Their line-up contains three former Blancos in goalkeeper Fernando Pacheco, winger Burgui and midfielder Alvaro Medran.
