Sevilla have announced the signing of Schalke midfielder Johannes Geis on loan with an option to buy.
Estadio Deportivo notes the Andalusians have paid €2m to bring in Geis for the season and can tie him down next summer for €7m.
The 24-year-old has represented Germany at all youth levels above the Under-16s, although he failed to hold down a first-team place in two seasons with Schalke.
