Official: Digard leaves Betis

Real Betis have confirmed midfielder Didier Digard, who was on loan at Osasuna last season, has had his contract terminated by mutual consent.

The former Middlesbrough holding midfielder fell out of favour at the Estadio Benito Villamarin and was loaned to Osasuna last season but played in only three games before suffering an ACL knee injury.

Earlier this week, El Desmarque cited reports in L’Equipe that the newly-promoted Ligue 1 club Amiens wanted to sign the 31-year-old, but could not afford a transfer fee on top of his wages.

Reports in Spain suggest Ukrainian striker Roman Zozulya is set to follow Digard in leaving Estadio Benito Villamarin.
