Las Palmas are without the ineligible Vitolo against an Atletico Madrid side that will start Angel Correa and Luciano Vietto as strikers on Saturday.

Las Palmas boss Manolo Marquez on his side’s opponents: “Atletico are a dangerous team in every way, in terms of game, strategy and on the break.

“They can score against you at any moment. They had a bad match at Girona but came back from 2-0 down in five minutes.

“They’re a team that are a reflection of their Coach. They never give up.”

Atleti boss Diego Simeone on being forced to play Correa and Vietto: “Since I was told that we couldn’t bring in any players, it was clear to me that I’d have all my players, including those in the ‘B’ team, available.

“They’re all capable of being starters and I’ll draw something from every one of them if need be.

“Luciano’s a good lad, he had a very good preseason and, until I’m told otherwise, I can start them all.

“Diego Costa? Las Palmas will be a difficult match, the players in our ‘B’ team and those I have today are the ones that’ll have to do well for us until January.”
