Borja Lasso is targeting a starting spot at Sevilla after being promoted to the first-team squad from Sevilla Atletico this summer.
The left-winger has been incorporated by Coach Eduardo Berizzo after impressing during a run in the team during pre-season.
“My priority was always to make the first team here,” Borja told the Sevilla website.
“When they told me I would be doing pre-season with them, I was determined to impress and convince the new Coach.
“The boss told me he was happy with my efforts and wanted me to carry on training with the group.
“I'm delighted to stay in the first team, I’m very happy to have this opportunity here and excited for the start of the season.
“I have to be very grateful for the chance the boss gave me. I want to keep doing well and getting chances…I really want to play in La Liga, it's what every player dreams of.
“I was able to experience promotion to the Second Division, which was a wonderful experience. Last year in the Second Division was spectacular and this year the step up to the first-team is special for me.
“I really want to do my bit and for us to have an amazing season."
