Sergio Busquets admits Barcelona “have to make signings no matter what” after their Supercopa first-leg defeat to Real Madrid.
Barca went down 3-1 at home to Madrid on Sunday, in their first competitive game without Neymar for four seasons, and Busquets conceded his club had to bring in new faces sooner rather than later.
“A 1-3 loss at home is very difficult, we’re disappointed now but we’ll try [to come back from it],” the midfielder said after the game.
“It’s become almost impossible, but the one who scores the first goal in these matches takes a lot of the advantage. Madrid did very well on the break.
“The referee? I don’t have the advantage [of replays] that you do, sometimes you have look at it from different perspectives.
“Signings? I don’t believe we have to, based on this result alone, but we have to make signings no matter what.”
