Barcelona midfielder Ivan Rakitic believes the dressing room at the club understand Neymar faces a ‘difficult decision’ but they all want him to stay at Camp Nou.
Paris Saint-Germain are said to be finalising a €222m transfer bid for the Brazilian star which would trigger his release clause at the Blaugrana and open up the option of him joining the French giants.
“It's a really difficult decision for him and everyone understands,” Rakitic told reporters in the United States.
“We all want him to stay and there's not much more to say about it as this is natural, but we will understand the outcome in any case.
“I hope he sees things the same way as we do and he knows our opinion. He's an important part of the dressing room, one of the family and we all want him to remain.
“Whatever he decides, we will respect that. As a friend and a teammate I would tell him to stay.
“He won't have the affection he has here anywhere else. I hope he stays with us, but he has our support whatever happens.”
