Valencia push for further sales

Valencia are hopeful of finding suitors willing to purchase some of their highest-earners as they continue to slash their wage bill.

Los Che have already sold a number of first-team squad players this summer including Diego Alves, Mathew Ryan and Enzo Perez but are hopeful of further exits to free-up funds for new arrivals.

According to Valencia-based Plaza Deportiva, the sales of Aymen Abdennour and Alvaro Negredo are now being prioritised while the club will listen to reported interest for Joao Cancelo and Ezequiel Garay.

Defenders Garay and Cancelo have been linked to Juventus for a combined €45m and whilst Coach Marcelino wants them to continue at the Mestalla, should the offer reach this both will leave the club.

Abdennour and Negredo are different as they are said to play no part in the former Villarreal boss’s plans for next season.

Tunisian Abdennour has been linked to Leicester City, Southampton and Inter while Negredo, on loan at Middlesbrough last season, has been linked to Turkey.
