Villarreal prioritse N’Diaye exit

Villarreal are hopeful of finding an exit route for Senegalese midfielder Alfred N’Diaye, a year after signing him from Betis for €9m, say reports in Spain.

According to Marca, the 27-year-old is the only player who the Yellow Submarine are hopeful of moving on from their first-team squad this summer.

The former Sunderland midfielder made 13 appearances for Villarreal last season but was signed by Marcelino Garcia Toral and the manager’s replacement Fran Escriba did not see him as part of his plans.

N’Diaye was loaned out to Hull City in January but a permanent move was ruled out following the English club’s relegation.

It is thought there is interested in powerful holding midfielder in both England and France, but no clubs have yet been mentioned.
