Raul hints at Madrid return

Raul Gonzalez has hinted that he will return to Real Madrid this summer, reportedly as an advisor to President Florentino Perez.

Speaking at a club event on Sunday, Raul reaffirmed his ‘madridismo’ after his admission that he would consider an offer from Barcelona, with Marca claiming a contract has already been prepared by Los Blancos for the legendary striker.

“I’m returning to live in Madrid in June,” he announced.

“I’d like to work for Real Madrid and we’ll talk to see how can I help. Hala Madrid, and if anyone has any doubts … and nothing else!”

Zinedine Zidane’s first role back at Madrid was also that of an advisor to Perez, prior to becoming sporting director, Carlo Ancelotti’s assistant, Castilla Coach and first-team boss.

Raul scored 307 goals across a 15-year stay at the Santiago Bernabeu, where he won 16 major honours, including six La Liga titles and three Champions Leagues.
