Real Betis midfielder Petros has signed an extended contract at the club which will see him remain at Estadio Benito Villamarin until 2020.
The Brazilian joined Los Verdiblancos in the summer of 2015 from Corinthians and has quickly established himself as a fans favourite and vital player at the club, making 44 appearances to date.
“I’m very happy – it’s one year more in the contract and I’ve decided to stay because I’m at home here,” Petros told the Real Betis official website.
“I’m going to keep working to make the decision of the directors even better.
“I want to be part of this club with everything that’s going on and it’s only going to get even better, I’m sure I’m going to be part of it.
“To the fans – thank you with all my heart, truly. Their love is unexplainable and I feel honoured. This is huge and I have to keep working, keep fighting, and never giving up because their support is so amazing.”
