Valencia-Madrid date set

Real Madrid’s trip to Valencia has been confirmed as taking place on February 22, with kick-off at 18:45 local time.

The game was originally to be played before Christmas but had to be postponed due to Los Blancos’ involvement in the Club World Cup, which they went on to win.

As February 22 is a Champions League Wednesday, the game has been scheduled for an early kick-off to avoid a clash with the European fixtures to be played that day, which include Sevilla hosting Premier League champions Leicester City.

Madrid host Espanyol on the Saturday before they go to Mestalla and travel to Villarreal the Saturday after, while Los Che are at home to Athletic Bilbao on February 19 and away at Alaves on February 25.
