Real Zaragoza will complete the signing of Greek striker Georgios Samaras on a deal until the end of the season, the club have confirmed.
The former Manchester City and Glasgow Celtic striker will complete his move to the Segunda side pending a medical, due to take place on Tuesday.
The 31-year-old has been a free agent since North American Soccer League outfit Rayo OKC went out of business last month.
Samaras had been linked with a move to New York Cosmos but will now join Los Maños, who sit 12th in the Segunda standings, four points off the promotion play-off places.
Still harbouring ambitions to return to La Liga for the first time since 2013, Zaragoza have now signed the Greek striker who also enjoyed stints at Heerenveen, West Brom and Al-Hilal.
