Kiyotake leaves Sevilla for Cerezo Osaka

Hiroshi Kiyotake has re-joined Japanese J1-League outfit Cerezo Osaka five years after leaving the club after cutting short his spell at Sevilla.

The 27-year-old only joined the Europa League winners last summer for a fee in the region of €6.5m but he made only four league appearances under Jorge Sampaoli, with the deal initially taking him to the club being signed by his predecessor Unai Emery.

Kiyotake spent four seasons in Germany with Nurnberg and Hannover 96 but made the move to southern Spain last summer after the latter's relegation from the Bundesliga, but failed to settle.

J-League duo Sagan Tosu and Vissel Kobe were also reportedly keen on a deal, and while there was interest in Kiyotake in both Spain and Germany, the midfielder ultimately decided to return to his home country.
