Ramos resigns at Malaga?

The future of manager Juande Ramos at Malaga is uncertain after a tweet from the club’s owner appeared to suggest the former Real Madrid boss had resigned.

Club president Abdullah Al-Thani took to twitter to ‘thank’ Ramos for his efforts with the team and wish him good luck in the future in what appeared to be a clear statement that the 62-year-old had resigned from the role after less than six months in charge.

However, the club are yet to release any statement on the future of Ramos which appears to indicate that there may have been a change of heart.

“Thanks a lot Mr Juande Ramos. I appreciate your candor. I respect your decision. I wish you every success,” said Al-Thani, who is a member of Qatar’s ruling family.

Ramos had signed a three-year deal with the Costa del Sol club in the summer, after the departure of Javi Gracia, and has guided them to a respectable 11th position in the table but suffered a shock cup exit at the hands of Segunda side Cordoba on Tuesday night.

However, any decision to leave appears to be a personal one rather than based on results over his tenure.
