Bautista has ‘bright future’ – Eusebio

Real Sociedad boss Eusebio Sacristan reserved special praise for substitute striker Jon Bautista after the 21-year-old opened the scoring at Granada.

La Real’s youth graduate netted his first goal of the season two minutes after his introduction to break the deadlock before Juanmi’s goal fifteen minutes later finished the game as a contest.

“We had chances all game but we could not finish them and we have seen how good Bautista is at taking them,” explained Sacristan after the game.

“The game needed a reference point inside the area and he provided it – he is very good and has a really bright future.

“I am happy for him because he allows us to change our game plan and become more decisive when we need to and he embodies the hard-working spirit within the club.”

Bautista netted his first goal of the club in April earlier this year but has still primarily been used in the ‘B’ team this campaign due to the form of Willian Jose.

Real Sociedad remain fifth with the victory while Granada stay second-from-bottom.
