‘Espanyol want to silence Betis’

Quique Sanchez Flores claims Espanyol are heading to Real Betis on Sunday with hopes of “silencing” the Benito Villamarin.

Espanyol needed a second-half comeback to draw 3-3 with Eibar on home soil last weekend, in stark contrast to Betis’ 2-1 victory over Osasuna in Pamplona.

“When you see a full house and are able to silence it, it’s one of most beautiful things,” the Coach said at a Press conference.

“It’s a challenge and history tells us it’ll be a difficult game, but if we’re able to silence everyone then that’d be fantastic.

“They have what it takes to achieve important things. They have a home game after winning [away], so mentally they’ll be very positive.

“Betis are a team that move differently in attack and defence. If we let ourselves be swayed by our opponents, the game would turn crazy and that doesn’t suit us.

“We don’t need an overhaul. Against Eibar we faltered, but only in certain areas.”
