Pako not losing faith in Valencia team

Valencia coach Pako Ayestaran has taken the blame for his side's poor start to the season and is keeping faith with his team.

Los Che have suffered their worst start to a league campaign since 1999-00, losing all three of their opening matches but Pako has called for calm and believes results will soon improve.

"Of course I am partly to blame because I am part of this group," the coach told Cadena Ser.

"This team are only missing results – we have had three good performances.

"We have dominated possession in all three of our games and have missed good chances, we have just not been rewarded for our efforts."

Valencia lost 3-2 at home to Real Betis on Sunday, with Ruben Castro netting a late winner for the visitors after the hosts had recovered from two goals down following Enzo Perez's red card.

Pako confirmed that there was no danger of him losing his job and he would not resign.
