Nicola Sansone believes he is “getting better and integrating more with every game” after scoring his first Villarreal goal on Saturday against Malaga.
Sansone, a €13m arrival from Sassuolo over the summer, opened his Villarreal account at Malaga as he clinched his side’s first La Liga win of the season, Jaume Costa breaking the deadlock in a 2-0 victory.
“I’m getting better and integrating more into the team with every game and that helps, but the truth is that things are becoming easier,” the forward said after the match.
“I’m beginning to see that we’re a team that have very clear concepts.
“It’s always good to score because it gives a striker tranquillity, but the most important thing was to win.
“Hopefully we can continue like this [against FC Zurich in the Europa League]. Winning our first match of the group stage is key.
“[On Pato, Cheryshev and Jonathan returning], it’s the best news for everyone as we have a lot of games coming up and need everyone.”
