It is reported that Celta Vigo are close to securing the signing of Serbian Aleksandar Katai.
The 25-year-old sat out his current club Red Star Belgrade’s League match against Novi Pazar at the weekend, with media in the Balkan country seeing this as confirmation that the player is heading to Spain.
Sports daily AS state that the transfer will be worth around €3m, with a deal between the two clubs said to have been agreed earlier in the summer.
At the time, Celta opted to delay the transfer as they chased other targets. However, following an injury to Marcelo Diaz and the club’s slow start to the La Liga season, the Balaidos club have returned for the attacking midfielder.
