Ramos: Every game is tight

Juande Ramos insists “every game in La Liga is difficult and evenly matched” ahead of Malaga’s trip to Espanyol on Friday.

Malaga and Espanyol face off at Cornella-El Prat looking for their first wins of the season, but Ramos is refusing to read too much into the Catalans’ 6-4 defeat to Sevilla as “the team with the most success in front of goal and that commit the least errors will win”.

“The team with the most success in front of goal and that commit the least errors [will win],” the Coach said at a Press conference.

“[Espanyol] have made some good signings and changed their squad, but every game in La Liga is difficult and evenly matched.

“[Espanyol’s 6-4 defeat to Sevilla] was quite a strange result for the times we live in.

“It’s said that you always have a little more initiative for the win at home, but we’ll be two teams wanting to win.

“[On transfer activity], these issues need to be discussed with the sporting director because I’m detached from these sorts of things.

“[On his request for a new goalkeeper and striker], everything has been discussed, and it’s the sports management who are managing [the issue of bringing them in].”
