Barcelona pair Douglas and Sergi Samper have been officially loaned to Sporting Gijon and Granada for the season.
In an official statement on their website, Granada have welcomed the arrival of “the pearl of La Masia” after beating off competition from “many teams” for the midfielder.
Luis Enrique was keen for the 21-year-old to gain first-team experience in the same vein as Denis Suarez, who spent time at Sevilla and Villarreal before returning last month.
Douglas, on the other hand, will spend the campaign at the Coach’s hometown club Sporting, with Barca continuing to cover the right-back’s wages in full.
