Tottenham Hotspur and Espanyol are negotiating for Pau Lopez but Los Periquitos have rejected the Premier League club’s most recent offer.
Marca reports Spurs want to take Pau on loan with a view to a permanent move and offered just over €500,000 up front with €7m to come if they want to take the goalkeeper on a full-time basis.
Espanyol said no but Marca reveals the belief at Cornella-El Prat is that Pau will go to London, and the club are simply holding out for the best deal they can, while Pau faces competition from new signing Roberto, who is believed to have the support of Coach Quique Sanchez Flores.
