Luis Nani will miss Valencia’s first La Liga game of the season as he’s carrying a ban from the Turkish Cup Final.
Super Deporte notes the Portugal forward was dismissed after full time of Galatasaray’s 1-0 win over Fenerbahce and hadn’t served his suspension by the time he joined Los Che.
Nani will then miss Valencia’s game against Las Palmas at Mestalla, pushing his League debut back to August 27 at Eibar, and his home bow to September 11, when host Real Betis after the international break.
The former Manchester United winger was sent off for confronting referee Mete Kalkavan at full time, unhappy with the official’s performance, and was first booked for his complaints, then shown a red card when he continued to remonstrate.
