Las Palmas have confirmed the free transfer signing of Kevin-Prince Boateng on a one-year contract with the option for a second.
The midfielder’s arrival was announced late on Monday evening and he is expected in Gran Canaria on Tuesday to undergo a medical, and all being well he will be presented to the media later in the day.
Las Palmas noted on their official website that they have been trying to get Boateng to the club since the start of July and have beaten clubs with deeper pockets and greater aspirations to his signature.
The club’s close relationship with Boateng’s agents, Edoardo and Federico Pastorello, is credited with the success of the deal by the report on the official site, and Boateng is described as the ‘most important foreign player to join the club in decades.’
