Official: Villarreal sign N’Diaye

Villarrea have completed the signing of midfielder Alfred N’Diaye from Real Betis for a fee which could rise to €9m.

N’Diaye has put pen to paper on a five-year contract with Villarreal and becomes the club’s second major signing of the summer after Denis Cheryshev.

Marca reports the Yellow Submarine have paid €7.5m up front for the Senegal international, who can also play in central defence, with another €1.5m to follow in the form of performance-related variables.

The deal also represents a significant profit for Betis, the 26-year-old having joined Los Verdiblancos from Sunderland for just €2.5m in the summer of 2014.
