Matias Kranevitter’s season-long loan to Sevilla from Atletico Madrid has been confirmed by both clubs.
According to statements on the two sides’ websites, an agreement has been struck that will see Kranevitter spend the 2016-17 campaign at Sevilla, subject to a medical and a contract being signed.
The 23-year-old will then join up with his new teammates once he returns from holiday, having represented Argentina at Copa America last month.
However, Los Nervionenses have not negotiated a purchase option for the former River Plate man as he remains in Atleti’s long-term view.
Kranevitter was Los Nervionenses’ first choice to replace Paris Saint-Germain-bound Grzegorz Krychowiak following their recent managerial appointment of his countryman Jorge Sampaoli.
