Barcelona and Valencia are vying for Atletico Mineiro left-back Douglas Santos, who carries a €10m fee.
AS reports the interest in the 22-year-old, with Los Che having led the way and Barca followed as they look for a replacement for Adriano, who is expected to leave Camp Nou this summer.
Atletico Mineiro are waiting on formal offers being lodged but won’t receive all of the €10m themselves as they don’t have full ownership of Douglas Santos’ rights.
The player’s agent has reportedly been seen with Barca scouts during a Brazil Under-23 game and movement is expected in the near future.
