Barca confirm England visit

Barcelona will train at England’s St George’s Park facility this summer, having last visited in 2014-15.

The club have confirmed they will use the FA-owned camp between July 25 and 30 and from there, go to Ireland for their first friendly of the summer.

Barca play Celtic in Dublin on July 30 in the International Champions Cup and the Catalans will prepare for the fixture and the new season in Burton-on-Trent, less than an hour from Birmingham.

Luis Enrique’s first season at Camp Nou began with a training camp at the same centre and Barca have also confirmed friendlies with Premier League champions Leicester City, in Stockholm on August 3, and Liverpool, on August 6, at a site yet to be decided.

The Joan Gamper Trophy will also be contested before the new season, which begins on August 21, but the date and opponent has yet to be confirmed.
