Busquets: Granada will push

Sergio Busquets expects Barcelona to get a difficult time at Granada even though their final day opponents are safe from relegation.

Barca can retain the title with a win at Los Carmenes as they lead Real Madrid by a point after the penultimate round of games, Atletico Madrid out of the running following a defeat at Levante, and Granada’s win over Sevilla means they can’t be pulled into the bottom three.

“We’re forced to win on the final day to be champions. You don’t know if it’ll be good or not that Granada are safe. Nothing changes because we have to go to win. We can’t lose,” Busquets said after the rout against Espanyol, AS reports.

The situation represents a turnaround from earlier in the campaign when it appeared Barca would walk away with the title and Madrid would be a non-factor, Busquets discussing the change after Barca responded to three games without a win in emphatic fashion.

“We knew we weren’t doing things well but that’s football, and it’s also about luck. We did enough to at least draw with Valencia but that’s football and now it’s forgotten,” he added.

“It’s hard to be 100% at this point in the season. We’ve had time but I’d prefer to be in the Champions League. It wasn’t easy to win this one.

“It’s going to be difficult on Saturday because Granada are safe and will push to win and celebrate with their fans.”
