Perez: Madrid proud of values

Florentino Perez says Real Madrid take pride in their “culture of effort, sacrifice and respect” after calling for unity in the final stretch of the season.

Perez was speaking at the 28th anniversary dinner for the Pena Ramon Mendoza supporters club over the weekend, and he paid tribute to all of Madrid’s stakeholders for helping the side reach the run-in with possibilities of triumphing in La Liga and the Champions League.

“You are an example of the passion for Real Madrid and a symbol of loyalty to the badge that unites us all. Together we will be stronger,” the President began.

“This is the club with the 10 European Cups. This is the club that never gives in. The club that always wants more. This is Real Madrid.

“The supporters groups are very important. Madridismo is a universal sentiment, there is nowhere in the world where there are no madridistas and they are joined together by supporters groups.

“This club is open to the world and accommodates everyone.

“We represent a culture of values: effort, sacrifice, respect… and what we represent, we have the responsibility to maintain and to nurture.

“Our strength is unity, to be united doesn't mean that we are not demanding, because being demanding is always part of our DNA and when we don't use it, it makes us weaker.”
