Real Madrid defender Raphael Varane reportedly faces a race against time to make the Clasico after pulling up with a calf injury on Thursday.
According to AS, Varane was absent from Friday’s training session and underwent tests to determine the extent of his likely ailment.
However, the newspaper seems resigned to his no-show at Camp Nou as he is “practically ruled out”.
Toni Kroos is also reported as giving Madrid a “scare” in training on Friday after he was on the receiving end of a strong challenge from Jese Rodriguez.
Nonetheless, he is understood to have resumed the session without any problems and set to start against Barcelona, along with back-pain victim Sergio Ramos.
