Valencia sporting director Jesus Garcia Pitarch says the ‘door is open’ for Pako Ayestaran to continue as Coach next season.
Garcia Pitarch and President Layhoon Chan were both present as Ayestaran was unveiled after he replaced Gary Neville, who was sacked on Wednesday, and who has already met owner Peter Lim.
“The first thing Peter said to Pako was what can you bring to the club, what do you think of the club, how do you see the club,” Pitarch revealed, AS reports.
“Pako said what he said and Peter’s response is that the door is open to continue at the club. It’s clear that Pako’s continuity is open.
“I have all the hope he’s going to do well, with the support of the players.”
