Clemente Valverde says Atletico Madrid “just have to do their thing” against Barcelona in the Champions League quarter-finals.
A repeat of the 2014 last-eight clash will be played in little under three weeks’ time, and the Atleti director conceded his side were not dealt the best of hands by Lady Luck, Barca having won six of their seven meetings since.
“Luck has decided that our opponents be Barcelona and we’ll take it,” he said after the draw, UEFA.com reports.
“You have to fight against Barca. The tie is 50-50 because we’ve shown how strong we are in La Liga.
“We should do what we know. All opponents are hard and you have to respect them all immensely. We just have to do our thing.”
