Midfielder Matias Kranevitter feels he proved he is worth a place in the Atletico Madrid team after his display in the 3-1 win at Valencia.
The Argentine has found a regular starting spot hard to come by since a reported €8m move from River Plate last summer, but believes he is finally beginning to find his feet in La Liga after what he admits has been a difficult start.
“I felt very comfortable the other day and I think I proved that I can play, and that’s important,” the 22-year-old told a Press conference.
“I’ve worked every day to get this opportunity and I’m still adapting. When I arrived I trained every day and I’m sure they saw I’m ready to play.
“The training is different to what I was used to at River, who play in a League where the game is very fast and there is little time to think.
“I’m now getting used to it here and the coaching staff and players have also given me confidence.”
