Malaga hope to keep on-loan Derby County defender Raul Albentosa permanently but want to renegotiate the agreed price.
Albentosa is on loan at La Rosaleda until the end of the season and AS reports the agreement that took the centre-back to the club calls for a €1.2m fee to make the move permanent.
Sporting director Francesc Arnau is planning for next season and wants Albentosa to be one of the club’s signings, along with Jony from Sporting Gijon and River Plate forward Michael Santos, for whom the club will pay €4m.
But Arnau wants to talk to the Rams about getting Albentosa for less than the stipulated fee, even though the club is happy with his performances this season.
