Jose Luis Mendilibar insists Eibar go into the last game of the year against Sporting Gijon with ‘positive’ feelings despite no wins since November.
Eibar haven’t picked up three points since they beat Getafe on November 7 but Mendilibar denied at a pre-match Press conference that there was an issue among the squad.
“The feelings are positive and that’s good. When you don’t win the feelings are not so positive, but we haven’t yet entered that phase,” Marca quotes the Coach as saying.
“Let’s see if we beat Sporting to maintain the good feelings and have three points.”
Mendilibar though warned Sporting wouldn’t be easy opposition as he considered the virtues of having possession, or not.
“Sporting are fast and want to create danger. Possession football is liked by a lot of people. But to have the ball on your pitch is useless,” he claimed.
“Sporting don’t want to have the ball. They want to create danger. They’re a young team, with enthusiasm.
“Last year they were promoted to the Primera without spending a Euro. This season they’re good, they feel good.
“We need to win to finish the year well and keep a good feeling,”
