Barcelona face Espanyol, Sevilla do battle with Real Betis and Atletico Madrid encounter Rayo Vallecano as three derbies headline the Copa del Rey last 16.

The final 16 contains two sides from La Segunda in Mirandes, who defeated Malaga in both legs of their last-32 tie, and Cadiz – fresh from their automatic bye after Real Madrid’s elimination due to fielding an ineligible player at Ramon de Carranza.

Among the eight ties sees an all-Catalan affair between holders Barca and city rivals Espanyol, an Andalucian tussle, with Sevilla and Betis also due to square up in La Liga this weekend, and a capital clash involving Atleti and Rayo.

The first legs will be played on January 6, while the return games are scheduled a week later.
