Valencia striker Alvaro Negredo will be unavailable for most of the rest of 2015 after undergoing an emergency appendectomy.
AS reports Negredo needed the procedure after suffering from appendicitis and is expected to be out of action for a month.
Negredo won’t be able to return to training until around Christmas, but hasn’t been in the plans of Coach Nuno Santo anyway over the past few weeks.
The former Manchester City striker has expressed his desire to remain with Valencia and win back his place in the side.
But AS notes his future is up in the air, and with Valencia hammering Celta Vigo 5-1 before the international break, there’s less pressure on Nuno to restore Negredo to the side.
