BATE Borisov Coach Alyksandr Yermakovich believes his side are facing ‘the best team in the world’ in Barcelona on Wednesday night.
Barca won 2-0 in Borisov and could safeguard their place in the next round with a win, providing Roma can’t beat Bayer Leverkusen in Group E’s other game.
“They’re the best team in the world and their players are of a high level. It’s very interesting to play against them,” Yermakovich said, Mundo Deportivo reports.
“We fully understand Neymar’s potential and it’s a challenge to face him and his teammates.
“I can only say good things about Sergi Roberto. He’s an example of the philosophy and model of Barcelona and he’s showing that this season.”
Yermakovich was asked what he thought of Barca’s Halloween shenanigans, and saw no reason to censure La Blaugrana.
“We’ve seen the pictures. I think they were in a good mood, have a good sense of humour. I didn’t see anything unusual at all,” he replied.
